Bear Brook Kennel was built in 1985 by Dr. Robert C Feher and Lloyd Williams on the premises of the Brewer Veterinary Clinic. The idea was to provide top quality boarding and grooming of dogs and cats under the watchful eye of veterinary care.

As the years have passed we have expanded and now offer 48 indoor/outdoor runs. We also offer "Presidential Suites" which are specialized with sliding glass doors, larger areas completely separated from the general population. In addition we have separate inside enclosures for the geriatric or timid ones. 

Dog Boarding = $18 per night, per dog.
Presidential Suites = $25 per night, one dog. $40 per night, two dogs.

Cats are special to us as well. We have 12 spacious condos for them as well as their own "Presidential Suite".

Dog Boarding

• If you wish, we have available daily individual walks for your dog in our fields or agility play area.
• If your pet is on medication it will be administered at no charge.
• All of our kennels are cleaned and disinfected TWICE daily.
• The kennel floors are HEATED.

Health and well-being of your pets is most important to us. Because of this we require your vaccinations be current before boarding. If you have not been with us before, please bring verification.

Dog Bedding:

Your dog's health, living conditions and comfort are of prime concern to us at Bear Brook Kennels. We find that owner supplied bedding is often too large for the kennels with the water dish, food dish and a couple of toys. It is difficult to wash and disinfect.

We have decided to provide you with bedding choices. Before choosing a bedding option, please keep in mind we have heated kennel floors in the winter and the concrete is cool in the summer due to the kennel cleaning procedures. We find many dogs sleeping beside their bedding.

Bedding Options:

1. No bedding necessary.
2. Rubber like cushion with flow-through design. This mat keeps the dog up off the concrete and allows air to circulate cool air in the summer and warm air in the winter.
3. Anti-Fatigue mat - this soft mat is especially good for arthritic dogs and dogs with elbow calluses.
4. Kennel blankets - this Hospital type blanket has been redesigned for kennel use.
5. Have a trained Kennel Technician help you decide the best option for your dog.

All our bedding options are washed, disinfected, and dried daily for your dog's health and comfort.

Cat Boarding - "The Cattery"

Our cats are completely separated from the rest of the boarding population. They have climbing shelves and cubby holes to crawl into. Multi cat families are welcome as well. The Presidential Suite for cats is also available. This area is complete with a live fish tank for the cats entertainment. Climbing shelves and cubby holes to crawl into are ideal for multi cat families, or resort style visits. We offer daily exercise in the Cattery for our guests whether it be bird watching in a sunny window, or chasing after toys. If you wish, we do offer grooming services for your cats while they stay. Your cat's health and well being is as important to us as it is to you. We require up to date vaccinations. If you are a first time client please bring your vaccination records so we can have them on file. Any oral medications or special diets will be taken care of by our staff at no charge. All of our cat homes are cleaned and disinfected TWICE daily. 

Cat Boarding = $10.00 per night, per cat.

Our new 16 X 24 foot cattery offers all the latest comforts for our feline guests from spacious living quarters to sky lights and a panoramic view.  The enclosures have several levels for your cat to enjoy and are 7 feet high!  An enclosed area for litter boxes ensures privacy.  A must see!!

We have installed cameras in our Presidential Suites and the new Cattery.  You can go online anywhere in the world and see your pet while you're on the go.
